Food & Beverage
Services NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to provide food and beverage service to guests in various facilities. To attain the National Qualification of Food and Beverage Services NC II, the candidate may apply for assessment in any accredited Assessment Center and must demonstrate full capabilities in all units and clusters of core competencies required as outlined in the Qualification guidelines
COURSE STRUCTURE
The course structure for Food and Beverage Services NC II is divided into three main competencies:
BASIC COMPETENCIES (18 HOURS)
- The candidate is expected to:
- Participate in workplace communication
- Work in a team environment
- Practice career professionalism
- Practice occupational health and safety procedure
COMMON COMPETENCIES (18 HOURS)
- The candidate is expected to:
- Develop and update industry knowledge
- Observe workplace hygiene procedures
- Perform computer operations
- Perform workplace and safety practices
- Provide effective customer service
CORE COMPETENCIES (320 HOURS)
- The candidate is expected to:
- Prepare the dining room / restaurant area for service
- Welcome guests and take food and beverage orders
- Promote food and beverage products
- Provide food and beverage services to guests
- Provide room service
- Receive and handle guest concerns
Housekeeping NC II
Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to prepare guest rooms, clean public areas and equipment, provide Housekeeping services, provide valet services, manage intoxicated guests, and handle laundry linen and clothing items, among a wide range of accommodation services.

As designed by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Housekeeping NC II curriculum is divided into the following modules

- The candidate is expected to:
- Provide Housekeeping services to guest
- Prepare rooms for guest

Front Office Services NC II
Front Office Services is a technical-vocational program that teaches students how to receive and process reservations, check-in and check-out guests in hotels and resorts, operate a computerized reservation system, provide reception services, conduct night audit, provide club services and porter services, among a variety of other Front Office skills and services.

The course structure for Front Office Services NC II is divided into the following modules:
